Course Narrative
This course prepared me for what my last two years in the World Languages and Cultures program would look like. It also answered many of the questions I had surrounding the capstone project that I complete my last semester as a Japanese Language and Culture major. This course also gave me the ability to begin preparing for my future in the department by giving me access to the online resources that I would need to be able to complete projects in Japanese. I was able to meet all of the professors in the Japanese department and that allowed me to feel more comfortable as I began taking more classes in my major. This also gave me a network of other WLC major students that I could turn to when I had questions and needed help finding online sources and tools. The WLC 300 class gave me many of the tools that were needed to get the most out of my last two years as a Japanese Language and Culture major. This included giving me the ability to create this e-portfolio so that I could better track what I was learning and what tools I used to learn different concepts and develop my language skills further.
